The WSO trumpet section is made up of some envious talent, and it’s with this in mind that we open this concert with Telemann’s Concerto for 3 trumpets and timpani featuring Chris FensomPaul Jeffrey and Isaac Pulford.

No stranger to WSO audiences, Canadian composer Vivian Fung offers her witty take on Baroque with Baroque Melting alongside Bach’s popular yet ambitious Chorale Prelude. Drawing inspiration from Haydn and other classical composers, Prokofiev weaves elements of the old and the new with his Classical Symphony. And we finish it all off with music from Stravinsky’s one-act ballet Pulcinella.
