The World Premiere of a new song cycle, "Anemones," for soprano and piano by Canadian Call for Scores composer Emily Doolittle to texts by Bay Area poet Rachel Richardson
Two reprises from the COVID-shortened season: Bay Area composer Ursula Le Guin and Rella Lossy; and "Rest These Hands" (2014) for solo violin and spoken voice by 2010 American Academy of Arts and Letters Charles Ives Fellow Anna Clyneto a text by Colleen Clyne. PLUS works by NY Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Cuban-American composer Tania León ; Argentinean Latin Grammy winner Claudia Montero; 2020 Guggenheim Fellow Marti Epstein; 2013 Pulitzer Prize composer Caroline Shaw; "Echo Dash" (2013) by 2010 Pulitzer Prize composer Jennifer Higdon; Grammy winner Missy Mazzoli; Canadian 2012 Guggenheim Fellow Vivian Fung, and also by Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz.
