The Mostly Modern Festival Institute (MMFI) is the educational component of the Mostly Modern Festival (MMF), offering one-on-one instruction with professional musicians from around the U.S., and professional performance experience. The institute accepts over 80 participants and and has a roster of over 30 faculty members. Participants who play orchestra instruments will perform in the American Modern Orchestra (AMO) and chamber ensembles, as well as receive lessons, attend masterclasses, lectures, and have access to all of the concerts and events at the festival, including concerts by American Modern Ensemble and 2020 guest ensembles. The Institute is open to musicians 18 and older—we welcome people in ALL stages of their career. Fellowships, Scholarships, Internships, and Resident Advisor (RA) Position(s) are available.
